Zyfy is a data enrichment API built around a simple idea: there is a lot of high-quality, authoritative UK government data available under open licences, and most of it is genuinely hard to use. Bulk files that require significant preprocessing, datasets distributed across dozens of separate sources, geographic lookups that need spatial infrastructure to work properly. The data is there — the access layer is the problem.
We handle the ingestion, normalisation, and indexing. You call an endpoint with a postcode or a registration plate and get back a structured response with the signals you need — no data pipeline, no infrastructure, no ongoing maintenance burden on your side.
The goal is a product that is fast enough to use in real-time request flows, reliable enough to build on without adding a caching layer of your own, and documented well enough that integration is measured in hours rather than weeks.
Submit any UK postcode — or a lat/lon coordinate to find the nearest postcode or every postcode within a radius — and get back geographic context, flood risk, deprivation index, crime rate, property prices, broadband coverage, air quality, planning designations, and MP data. All from ONS, the Environment Agency, HMLR, Police UK, and other authoritative OGL sources. Pre-computed composite scores handle the aggregation so you don't have to. Covers England, Scotland, and Wales.
Submit any UK registration plate and get back DVLA registration details, ULEZ compliance status, current tax and MOT validity, VED cost, and intelligence derived from DVSA MOT data: odometer trend, pass rate, advisory trend, failure clusters, fleet benchmarks, condition score, and a buy recommendation. Data is sourced from the official DVLA and DVSA APIs under OGL v3.0 and enriched at query time.
